About us
Elders/Deacons/Leaders
We have not yet chosen any elders, deacons and/or leaders. All our leaders will be chosen and approved at a later stage by our early members, followers and friends. Our preliminary vision/mission statement, doctrinal statement and other initial guidelines below has been created by our church planters (these statements and guidelines are to some degree subject for change). The church planters will most likely have some kind of leadership roles, but they will not automatically or necessarily become elders or deacons in our church.
Vision Statement
"From faith to faith, living by the faith of the Son of God..." (Romans 1:17, Galatians 2:20, KJV)
Who We Are
- We are a multilingual church founded and first planted in Vaasa, Finland. We are open to all people and all nationalities. Since Finland already to begin with is a multilingual nation (Finnish, Swedish), and since the nation today consists of people speaking hundreds of languages we have chosen English as our main communication language.
- We are a Bible believing church.
- We are a church founded on and always focusing on the Grace of God.
- We are a church believing, living and breathing the finished work of Jesus Christ. That is the starting point and the center for everything we believe and for everything we preach.
- We are a church believing, living and breathing the New Covenant.
- We believe in the Gospel of Grace as Paul and the Apostles received, preached and wrote it, we believe in and we always aim to build on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone.
- We don't believe that we have or understand the true full Gospel of Grace exactly as Paul and the Apostles received, preached and wrote it, the foundation of the apostles and the prophets, but our aim is nothing else than to have it and fully understand it. Our aim is to with an open mind always be true to the scriptures, always learning and hopefully understanding more and more.
- We are a strictly conservative church in terms of Bible believing and fundamental important truths.
- We are a church aiming to be modern and relevant in and to the society we live in to the degree it's possible without compromising on Bible beliefs and fundamental important truths.
